Student Research Video Contest
Create a fun 30-60 second video sharing your research lab/group. The top 5 videos will win a lab pizza party! The deadline is February 17.
The theme is “light" (seeking light through discovery, sharing light with the world, etc.). Videos could share your lab’s mission, discoveries, how it has impacted you, or highlight the individuals in your lab. Be creative and have fun! Submissions will be judged on creativity and alignment with the theme.
The videos will be shown at the 2026 Student Research Conference on February 28. Five winning videos will be chosen and receive a pizza party!
Video Requirements:
- 30-60 seconds in length
- Vertical orientation
- MP4 or MOV file
- Clearly introduce the lab (name, focus area, or research theme).
- All video must be created by you. Don’t use copyrighted material. If you want to use music, use this Instagram/Facebook sound library to avoid copyright problems.
- Content should be aligned with the BYU mission.
- Each person can submit one video (multiple submissions from the same lab are okay).
