About Combinatorics and Matrix Theory

Combinatorics students study finite structures. Aspects include counting the structures, deciding when criteria can be met, and constructing and analyzing objects meeting certain criteria. Matrix theory students study matrices; rectangular arrays of numbers, symbols, or expressions. Matrices are used in most scientific fields including physics, computer graphics, and quantum mechanics.
