A solid career path—like a garden—takes some nourishing. Students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics will have the chance to plant seeds with leading companies at this fall’s STEM Fair on Thursday, September 24.
On that day, the Wilkinson Center Ballroom will host recruiters from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., giving students a chance to network with more than 150 possible employers. The semiannual STEM Fair is an effective way for students to learn more about potential careers and to make valuable connections.
Preparation for the STEM Fair starts now. Interested students should visit BYU Bridge (https://byu-csm.symplicity.com/) to register for the event, update their profile, upload a resume, and see which companies will be at the fair.
University Career Services will hold resume critique sessions on September 17 and 18 in the Life Sciences Building, the Eyring Science Center, the Clyde Building, and the Wilkinson Center (room 2410).
Sessions on September 17 will be 9–11 a.m. and 1–3 p.m., while sessions on September 18 will be 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–3 p.m. Click here (https://ucs.byu.edu/students/STEM-fair) for more information.
Women in STEM majors can also attend the Women’s Career Conversations Luncheon (https://cpms.byu.edu/current-students/womens-career-conversations/) on September 22 to hear from female professionals in STEM fields. RSVP here (https://goo.gl/V20bXl) by September 14.
