The BYU General Career Fair is a great opportunity for students to meet recruiters from companies like Domo, Inc., Boeing, and American Express. It is a great chance to network and get your name out there.
The fair will be held in the WSC Ballroom, Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Never been to a career fair before? The following guidelines will help:
- Prepare a 30-second elevator pitch where you explain what type of job you are interested in and how your skills would benefit the company.
- Download the free BYU Career Fair Plus App and research the companies that will be at the fair. Recruiters are impressed when they see you are familiar with what their company does.
- Ask a friend to help you practice being interviewed. Cut any filler words, and remember to smile.
- Go to Resume Reviews October 4 and 5, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in 2410 WSC.
- Dress business casual
