Biography
Steven Jones did his undergraduate and masters work at BYU in mathematics. While an undergrad, he earned a minor in music and, as a graduate student, he earned a minor in mathematics education. He became interested in the psychological aspects of learning and decided to pursue a PhD in mathematics education at the University of Maryland. Following the completion of that degree, he moved to California where he taught at a two-year college for four years. Dr. Jones joined the BYU mathematics education faculty in 2013.
Research Interests
Steven Jones' research interests are focused on the teaching and learning of undergraduate mathematics (with a focus on calculus) and helping students apply mathematics to science and engineering.Teaching Interests
