Biography
A graduate of BYU’s animation program, Chris has built a career defined by technical innovation and artistic excellence. Starting in VFX before moving into feature animation, he has worked on a number of live-action and animated films. His expertise as both a software engineer and an artist allows him to contribute in distinctive ways to the technical and artistic vision of the projects he helps bring to life.
Research Interests
Chris is interested in rendering technology, specifically related to shading and lighting. He believes there are still a number of complex opical phenomena that are largely ignored. Acquisition of spatial parameterization of such phenomena is also a primary interest.
Teaching Interests
Shading and rendering for 3D animation and games. Tools development for production pipelines.
