Star-Studded Science

In between putting the words “We Will Rock You” into Freddie Mercury’s mouth and singing back-ups to “Fat-Bottomed Girls,” Queen’s lead guitarist, Brian May, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Imperial College of London. He took a thirty-year break to make classic rock history and then returned to academia to earn a PhD in astrophysics in 2007.

But May isn’t the only celebrity who has spent time with theorems and test tubes. Lest you think having an affinity for math and science makes you a geek, here is a slideshow of A-list folks, including May, who share the love.
